Been a long coupla weeks-ish. Been working pretty hard. Sort of. It's crazy, the loneliness. You work and keep busy, but you still come home to an empty house. No matter how hard you work, what you do, whatever, the house is still empty when you come home. So the time is winding down. Decided against the place in Washington, get to make another fun trip to Washington (well it will be fun if I can stay with Anne again :D) to look at apartment. Gotta find the right apartment. Worry about the price, getting approved, the location, both closeness to work ad niceness of the area. Then Jenna gets to PICK a job. She has to decide whether to work for herself with computer stuff for flexible hours and go crazy living alone all the time? OR convince someone to give the crazy hours she wants and pay her really well and let her take lots of time off, and deal with co workers and bosses,, but you get to meet people.
Decisions, decisions.
Gonna try and sleep a lil more tonight. I could barely get out of bed today. Ha waaaaay to much coffee and I ate.... donuts!!!! Bad bad bad. Tomorrow is a new day, righto?
Um and uh tomorrow, I'm "taking the day off" which might mean driving around some friends-ish to the local tack shops, and then taking a friend of Alex's to the airport, and um maybe I will ride. The friend I really want to go will prolly not go. I don't know how to convince her. It doesn't really sound like a day off to me, well really not compensation for working 2 weekends in a row. But whatever. I is WORE OUT MAN!
Here's to tomorrow!

Happy I Love You Day
I wanted to wish a Happy I Love You Day (read Birthday, he doesn't absolutely love his birthday the way I do) to the person I love the most. We are the big two three this year ;), and he beats me to getting older by 2 monthes every year. What an overachiever. I have to say, Adam would never give me my birthday present late, but per the usual I am late with his gift and I feel like a schmuck.
So my most favorite, chichen-obsessed, Myna-loving, ridiculous, thinks-he-is-the-basis-
for-normality, great Minaface I love you and I hope that you got some kind of break of your birthday or had some small good thing happen that can be construed as a Happy I Love You Day present, and know your REAL present is going to be cool on the way as soon as I can figure out the best way to mail it. I am thinking about you all day today and hoping your day is going okay.
LOVE,
YOUR GIRLFRIEND

SO SICK
I am what Adam and I call "Sick-O Puppy-O." This is a phrase that comes from me complaining about being as sick as a dog. Some how that got transformed and added to the Jenna-Adam dictionary.
I called in sick at work and literally slept ALL DAY LONG. I feel a lot better now. If I can convince myself to sleep all night long too, that would be great. I stayed in, and did all the things we do to make ourselves better when we are sick. I took some emergen-c, drank cranberry juice, ate PIZZA (thats an Adam thing), and watched my latest favorite tv show (right now Ghost Hunters), and SLEPT. I am pretty sure I have a head cold because I have the most incredible head pressure.
My Dad and his finance came to visit for the weekend and that was a lot of fun. We went to see Fool's Gold. It was your typical corny romantic comedy with Matthew McConaughey. It was cute though. We rode horses, talked business, and then he left this morning, that was sad.
So I am still sorting out my future and we are counting down to Adam's return and my future in Washington. I really identify with some other people's blogs, what I am doing with my life within the confines of army life? Am I going to be able to do it without traveling all the time?
You just never know what the real situation is going to be until you get there. I can plan to do X or Y, but until I get there and see how I feel and see what our real routine is, and how bad the driving really is and how much I end up being alone and how much I need to be riding and how much I need to be out of the house and and and. (That is the LONGEST run on sentence...)
So I feel pretty futile in planning, I feel like I need to go back to Washington and look some more. I am not really sure that would help. I just want to make sure I get everything set up for Adam to come home. I have thought about how I am going to pack.
I realized though that I have never set out to do something in my life that hasn't had a specific end date, like high school or college. I mean I think I am going to keep working with Leon, by flying down to visit him. So that doesn't have a set end point. Looking to move to Washington for only 2 years is another cap, then its like what's next. So yeah. I think that continuing towards my dreams, despite of the myriad of limitations imposed upon us by the army, is going to be a challenge. However, most things worth having are worth working for. So carry on!

DVDs
So I had a great moment recently. It was when I realized that the DVD of songs, pictures and a small video of me riding my horse went to a lady I am working on a business project with and the video of the project went to Adam. I called the lady immediately and told her that I had sent the wrong thing. So now I get to reburn copies of both a remail them. Opps. That was pretty embarrassing to explain that it was not intended for her. She was very gracious.
I have some tulips that I bought myself, they make me smile. However they are nearing their tulip end. This weekend Leon is hosting an event so I will be soo busy.
And so for me life just continues to chug along. I got pictures of my mare who should foal this spring if all goes according to plan.

Here she is from behind, I don't envy her.

So yeah, hopefully Monday I will know more about the place in Washington and the will take A LOT of stress away, lol or add to it depending on the circumstances. I had a dream last night that Adam and I found this huge apartment for $500. I am trying to remember what was wrong with it.

Do what now?
OK It has been a long day. I started this morning at 6:30 Central time in Corsica, SD. I am finally at home at 9:43 PM Central after having driven 4 hours, changed time zones, and then driven another 2 hours. I am here. I was listening to the radio on the way home and they have this thing: Dateless in Dallas. Some girl who doesn't have a date get on the phone and potential prospects call in and she tells the station to "click 'em" if she doesn't like them... ok.... So they are talking he is 21 and she askes,"What would our first date be like?" and in full tex-ass drawl he said, "Do what now?" That would have been a click for me, but he told her they could go to the applebees and a movie once he got the question straight. She decided to take the date... shudder... I can't believe that people say that! It's like out of a comic book story of Ranger Rick or someone.
Anyways, it frightened me a little.
So today my traveling companions on the plane couldn't be more different and yet they were both interesting. The first lady I sat next to was very nice. When I told her Ada was in Iraq, she told me that her husband had died last April and when he had been in the service he had served in the Korean war, and then he got out. We commiserated about how lonely it is even when you stay really busy. She is the first really sympathetic and understanding civilian I have met in a long time. She knew exactly what I was going through. I am very grateful I don't fully understand what she is going through. She was talking about how you had someone you whole life, and now she is thinking about trying to date again just to be less lonely if nothing else, and how difficult it is.
The second plane I sat next the the CSU Men's Basketball team and their coaches. Basketball players are a lot like puppies, they are long and gangley. As soon as the plane took off it was like someone had slipped them sleeping gas, they crashed, and they were flopping all over the place. You know how when someone is trying to sit up and sleep and keep from falling? Well it was a lot of that. I tried really hard not to laugh, but it was so funny. The guy I sat next to was very nice, from Georgia, he had gone to school a little in Wyoming so we were able to make small talk before I realized I knew absolutely nothing about basketball. I told him, I don't play ball sports lol. Oh well.
So I went to best buy and reveled in guilty pleasures, I bought all the seasons of ghost hunters I did not already have. There you have it, my latest bizarre obsession.

Waddle Waddle
HELLO OUT THERE
Ha Today I tried REALLY REALLY HARD to take a day off. I laid around in bed, talked to Adam for hours, ate..... but I just couldn't quite do it. My whole life revolves around all the bajillion projects have set for myself. I do really mean a bajillion. Though at the end of the day I need to get a picture of a horse for a lady yadda yadda yadda. So I went out treat bearing and of course they came running and I went to look at my very favorite horse Betcha Queen, who I spent a long time trying to get into foal last year. There she was at the end of the pasture, and lo and behold she was waddling. She is so fat she is halarious to watch. I am so excited about her baby come spring I could just go crazy. I took like 10 pictures of her to show Adam. We are going to have a baby (foal). I am so very excited. I saw all my buddies: Selby, Saber, Jazzy and Hawkeye. They are all super dee dupperdee fuzzy. I looked all all my 2s to send to Arizona to be started. I looked at my buckskin horse. Sheez he is a butthead. I am trying to figure out what to do with him. Should I take him to Washington?
So anyways That's life on a horse ranch. I am hoping the place in Washington pans out and I find a way to make it work. :) Then I will be able to put my horses in a safe place where I can keep and eye on them.

Cheery
Hello
This hour in the morning usually has me dragging, but today I feel awake and ready to go.
Adam's valentine gift came yesterday! Very thoughtful, I got instructional horse videos. These can be pretty hard to come by so I am pretty impressed that he got me some. I am always impressed that he always gets me something AND it's here on time. I feel a little guilty because when I am mailing mine, mine are usually a little late. The very first thing he ever got me for Valentine's day was a pot of purple tulips and a little stuff moose with chocolate. I love purple tulips. About two days ago I was at Walmart and saw those potted tulips and it reminded me so much of Adam that I bought one. They sit beside my bed and every morning I wake up and see them and think about my butthead. We are in the homestretch now.
Today is shaping up to be a great day. I recently have decided to relax about a bunch of things that were stressing me out and I have been feeling a lot better. I just do what I can every day and not worry about the rest. I put my white board up in my room, think about how much I have going on today and write my list of things for the day. Once I have those things done. I let myself relax. It's good. I worry a lot less. I think I am getting more done too. So yeah, what a strange thing, ;) an upbeat post from me.
I am not doing a count down of the days because you never know the exact date the soldiers are coming home. But I am starting to make all the arrangements.
Oh brave world, here we come!
